Fruity Mochi
Equipment
- Microwave
Ingredients
- 75 g Glutinous Rice Flour
- 100 g White Sugar
- 100 ml Water
- 1 pack Fresh Strawberries
- 50 g Cornstarch
- 5 g Strawberry Emulco Green Tea and Blueberry Emulco (flavor of your choice)
Instructions
- Combine glutinous rice flour and sugar in a microwave safe bowl.75 g Glutinous Rice Flour, 100 g White Sugar
- Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine water and Emulco flavoring.100 ml Water, 5 g Strawberry Emulco
- Stir until well blended.
- Add your liquid ingredient to your flour-sugar mixture.
- Continue mixing until no more lumps.
- Repeat the steps to other flavors like green tea and blueberry.
- Once done cover the mixture with plastic wrap.
- Place in the microwave for 2 mins.
- After 2 mins, remove the cover and stir the mixture.
- Place the mixture back in the microwave for another 40 seconds.
- Remove from the container and prepare to knead.
- Dust workplace with cornstarch.
- You can use rolling pin to stretch the mochi.
- Repeat this steps to other flavors.
- Set aside covered with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying.
- Divide mochi into 6 parts.
- Fill mochi with whip cream and place 1 whole strawberry in the center.1 pack Fresh Strawberries
- Pinch edges to seal it. You may also put the mochi inside a plastic wrap to seal the shape.
- You can use different fillings like fruit jam, bean paste, ice cream or other fresh fruit.
- Once done, place all the rolled mochi in a muffin pan and freeze for at least an hour.
- Before serving you can dust it with cornstach to prevent it from sticking.50 g Cornstarch
- Place in a cupcake liner and ready to serve.
