Whoppie Pie Spooky Treats Recipe

Main Ingredients

500g HICAPS Instabake – Moist Chocolate Cake

225g Chiffonaide Cake Oil 

240g Water

100g Egg (Large)

Orange Halloween Frosting Ingredients

250g Magic Whizk Instant Whipping Cream 

125g Cold Water

2 tsp. Emulco Orange Flavoring 

How to Make Spooky Halloween Treats

1. Pour water into a bowl. Add Moist Chocolate Cake Mix, Chiffon Cake Oil, and eggs into a bowl and beat at low speed for 30 seconds then at high speed for 2 minutes.

2. Scrape bowl and paddle attachment. Scale cake batter into a 1 x 11 x 16 pan, keeping it thin and moist. Spread evenly.

3. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven. The cake is done when springs back when slightly touched in the center or, when a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

4. Cool down the cake. Use a cookie cutter to cut it into round shapes.

Orange Halloween Frosting Procedure

1. In a mixing bowl, cream MAGIC WHIZK for 2 mins. until light and fluffy in color.

2. Gradually add in cold water while continuously mixing for 3 mins. at medium speed.

3. Switch to high speed for 4 mins. until stiff peaks.

4. Add in orange flavor and orange color for a vibrant color effect.

Bloody Cupcakes

Bloody Cupcakes Ingredients

Bloody Cupcakes Garnish – Broken Glass Ingredients

1 cup Sugar

½ cup Water

Bloody Cupcakes Blood Sugar Ingredients

¼ cup Light Corn Syrup

1 drop Red Gel Food Color

Bloody Cupcakes Procedure

1.Pre-heat oven to 170°C (325°F) or 149°C (300°) for a fan-forced oven line desired pans. Prepare Cupcake pans and place cupcake liners.

2.Pour water into a bowl. Add Moist Chocolate Cake Mix, Chiffonaide Cake Oil, and eggs and beat at low speed for 30 seconds then at high speed for 2 minutes.

3.Scrape bowl and paddle attachment. Scale cake batter into prepared pans. Fill cupcake pans about half full each. 

4. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from the oven. The cake is done when springs back when slightly touched in the center or, when a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

5. Cool completely on a cooling rack, then remove from the pan. Frost as desired.

Frosting Procedure

1. Cream Magic Whizk on medium speed for 2 mins until light and fluffy.

2. Gradually add water and continue mixing on medium speed for another 3 mins.

3. Once the water is already well incorporated, switch to high speed for 3- minutes until it doubles in volume.

Garnish – Broken Glass Procedure

1. Combine Sugar and Water, let it simmer until thick and slightly turn brown. 

2. Pour in a flat tray, let it set until it hardens then crash it using a knife to create a broken glass effect. Use as garnish.

Blood Sugar Procedure

1. Combine corn syrup and food color to have a thick bloody-like mixture. Drip on top of the frosting and Broken Glass Garnish, for a bloody effect.
