The baked macaroni or baked mac, as many Filipinos call it, is the epitome of pasta dishes. It’s a mouth-watering dish made of elbow-shaped macaroni pasta. 

In addition, baked macaroni is basically cooked like lasagna but using a more common kind of pasta in the county. Baked macaroni is also versatile. It can be a meal or a snack. 

You can also make baked macaroni any way you want. You can add any meat to this baked macaroni recipe. If you want to go vegan, you can simply eliminate the meat here and replace them with your usual meat alternatives.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine
  • 1 cup HICAPS Chef's Gourmet Melt Magic
  • 500 g Macaroni Pasta
  • 500 g Sweet Style Tomato Sauce
  • 1 pouch All Purpose Cream
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk
  • ½ kilo Ground Pork
  • 200 g Bacon Bits
  • Salt To Taste
  • Black Pepper To Taste
  • 1 pc Garlic
  • 1 pc White Onion
  • 1 can Mushroom Sliced
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Sliced
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta as per package procedure.
    500 g Macaroni Pasta
  • Prepare the sauce. Saute HICAPS Buttercream, onion, bell pepper and garlic.
    ½ cup HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine, 1 pc White Onion, 1 medium Bell Pepper, 1 pc Garlic
  • Add in the ground pork, bacon, and mushroom.
    ½ kilo Ground Pork, 200 g Bacon Bits, 1 can Mushroom
  • Season with salt and pepper.
    Salt, Black Pepper
  • Add the tomato sauce. Simmer for 20 mins until cooked. Set aside.
    500 g Sweet Style Tomato Sauce
  • In a different pan, prepare HICAPS Buttercream and flour to create a roux. Add the milk, all purpose cream and season with salt and pepper.
    1 pouch All Purpose Cream, 1 can Evaporated Milk, Salt, ½ cup All-Purpose Flour, ½ cup HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine, Black Pepper
  • In a baking dish, arrange pasta with red sauce mixture, top with white sauce then garnish with grated HICAPS Chef's Gourmet Melt Magic
    1 cup HICAPS Chef's Gourmet Melt Magic
  • Bake for 20 – 30 mins in 180°C or until the cheese melts.
