puto with cheese recipe using rice flour

Puto Recipe (With Cheese)

Puto is a popular merienda in the Philippines. It is delicious, fluffy, affordable, and filling― making it a crowd favorite. This puto recipe with cheese helps you create the perfect pair for your dinuguan (pork blood stew)

Aside from the famous dinuguan, puto can be paired with other dishes such as pancit (noodles). It can be topped with cheese and salted egg as well.

Traditional puto is made of rice, water, and sugar. Back then, people used to grind puto batter using a stone device called galapong. The product was then left overnight and steamed the next day.

Gone are those days. Now, you can make puto without grinding the batter by hand. Thanks to modern ingredients, you can easily make soft and fluffy puto within minutes.

Speaking of minutes, don’t waste another one. Gather your ingredients and start following this puto recipe with cheese now.
