Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread
Ingredients
Bread
- 500 g Bread Flour
- 500 g All-Purpose Flour
- 15 g Salt
- 180 g White Sugar
- 15 g Sunstar Instant Dry Yeast
- 4 g Superfine Bread Improver
- 450 mL Water
- 100 g Egg Yolk
- 1 Whole Egg
- 50 g HICAPS Powermix Shortening
- 80 g HICAPS Buttercream Gold
Cream Cheese Filling
- 400 g Royal Victoria Cream Cheese
- 80 g Heavy Cream
- 50 g White Sugar
Garlic Butter Mixture
- 225 g HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine Melted
- 50 g Garlic Minced
- 50 g Bluebell Condensed Milk
- 1 Whole Egg
- 20 g Honey
- 10 g Dried Basil
Instructions
Dough Preparation
- Combine water, yeast, and sugar.15 g Sunstar Instant Dry Yeast, 450 mL Water, 180 g White Sugar
- Stir and let it sit for a minute.
- Add the bread flour and all-purpose flour.500 g Bread Flour, 500 g All-Purpose Flour
- Mix evenly until well combined.
- Add remaining dry ingredients.15 g Salt, 4 g Superfine Bread Improver
- Add egg yolks and whole egg and mix until you form a dough.100 g Egg Yolk, 1 Whole Egg
- Add Powermix Shortening and Butter.50 g HICAPS Powermix Shortening, 80 g HICAPS Buttercream Gold
- Mix for another 10 mins. until well combined
- Dough is ready if you can stretch it without breaking.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and proof for 1 hour or until it doubles the size.
Cream Cheese Filling
- Prepare the cream cheese filling.
- Using a hand mixer, combine cream cheese, sugar, and heavy cream.400 g Royal Victoria Cream Cheese, 80 g Heavy Cream, 50 g White Sugar
- Mix until smooth and velvety
- Transfer in a piping bag and set aside.
Garlic Butter Mixture
- For Garlic Butter mixture; mix melted HICAPS Buttercream, garlic, eggs, honey, condensed milk, and dried basil.225 g HICAPS Buttercream Ref Margarine, 50 g Garlic, 50 g Bluebell Condensed Milk, 20 g Honey, 10 g Dried Basil, 1 Whole Egg
- Stir and set aside.
Dough Bread Preparation
- Back to the dough, release the gas and transfer to the kneading table.
- Divide dough at 60g each or depending on how big you want your bread.
- Roll into a ball and line it to your greased baking sheet at least 2 inches apart.
- Cover and let it rest for another 30 mins.
- Lightly brush the bread doughs with egg wash before baking.
- Bake for 15 mins at 350 degrees F
Bread Assembly
- Prepare to Assemble
- Slice each bread into 6 or 8 sections. Make sure that the bottom is still intact.
- Pipe the cream cheese filling in between slices.
- Dip the bread into butter garlic mixture.
- Scoop garlic bits for more flavor.
- Bake for another 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve it warm. Enjoy
